"What matters is the after-tax return on your investment portfolio; tax efficiency is key. Our financial and estate plans carefully consider the impact of current and deferred taxation. This is a major focus at our firm."
Henry P. Alden II, MST, CPA/PFS
Director of Global Wealth Services
I have 30 years of experience in the area of domestic and international tax planning for individuals, families, and their closely held business interests. This experience allows us to identify, analyze and solve the increasingly complex income, gift, and estate tax issues facing our US domestic and international clients.
I earned my Masters degree in federal taxation and worked for KPMG in Washington, DC, working for five years in the Washington National Tax Practice. I have developed and taught a variety of training courses on international tax and estate planning and speak frequently about international planning for individuals with multi-national interests.
Through the AICPA, I serve as Co-chair of the Expatriation Tax Task Force and work on the AICPA's International Reporting Requirements Task Force. I am a member of the British American Business Association in Washington, DC, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.
I graduated from Wake Forest University in 1982 with a B.S. in Accountancy and then earned my Masters in Taxation at the University of Georgia.
